How much vitamin D should you take? What are the vitamin D recommendations for adults in Canada? We get asked these questions a lot!
How much vitamin D should I take?
Every person’s needs are different, and we cannot recommend dosing to your specific needs. We can, however, provide you with the recommended vitamin D dosing from many groups here in Canada.
Health Canada classifies several groups as at-risk for vitamin D deficiency:
- Pregnant women
- Those with little exposure to the sun (ex: those who work inside)
- Those who wear concealing clothing and/or sunscreen
- Those with darker skin
- Those who are obese
