Why is vitamin D important during pregnancy?
Getting enough vitamin D is especially important during pregnancy. A mother must receive enough in order to pass it along to her growing baby. Infants who are deficient in vitamin D can have abnormal bone development, which can cause their bones to break or to be abnormally formed.
How much vitamin D should I take?
Every person’s needs are different, and we cannot recommend dosing to your specific needs. We can, however, provide you with the recommended vitamin D dosing from many groups here in the United States.
