How much vitamin D should I take?

Every person’s needs are different, and we cannot recommend dosing to your specific needs. We can, however, provide you with the recommended vitamin D dosing from many groups here in Canada.

Health Canada classifies several groups as at-risk for vitamin D deficiency:

  • Pregnant women
  • Those with little exposure to the sun (ex: those who work inside)
  • Those who wear concealing clothing and/or sunscreen
  • Those with darker skin
  • Those who are obese
